UW PCE Programs
UW PCE is managed under University of Washington Continuum College. UW PCE partners with academic units throughout the University of Washington to offer certificate programs, master’s degree programs, bachelor degree completion, courses, workshops and more – spanning more than 75 fields.
Programs are designed with emphasis on:
- Convenience through evening, weekend and online options
- Practical knowledge that can be immediately used on the job
- Relevant content taught by UW faculty and top UW-approved industry professionals in touch with the latest developments in the field
Mission
The mission of UW Professional and Continuing Education (UW PCE) is to provide broad access to the UW and to expand UW educational programs by serving the needs of diverse, global communities of learners.
UW PCE Student Demographics
- ~ 80% have a Bachelor or Master’s degree
- > 65% work full time
- > 50% have 9+ years of professional work experience
- ~ 75% are between age 25 and 54
- > 65% of certificate students pay the full cost of the program themselves
Partners
Every program administered by UW PCE is developed in partnership with a corresponding UW college, school, or department. In addition, each program uses an advisory board to review and update content to ensure the program remains current as the field of study evolves.
