Course Design

Course Design begins with good alignment among assessment methods, instructional strategies, and learning objectives. Learning objectives are brief descriptions of the most important skills students will gain by taking your course. Learning objectives should be overt and specific, and expressed using clear action verbs.

Clear objectives tell your students what directly measurable behavior you will use as an acceptable indicator of understanding or knowledge. Your objectives specifically tell students what they are expected to be able to do once they complete the course or lesson.
